  1. I chose to get the Samsung Side-by-Side refridgerator. I used the pace model to determine that I wanted a fridge with a good price, thats quiet, energy efficient, and that has a spacious interior. Based on my grid, the samsung did not have the best criteria across the board but it was a very close race with my other choices. The real deciding factor was the price. It is much cheaper than the fridge that had all the best ratings and mine was only just shy of getting the same ratings. Pus, I really wanted to get a side-by-side, so I did.

    1. That refrigerator is a good choice, it was actually my second choice. I like it for the same reasons you do.

  2. I chose the Samsung Four-Door Bottom-Freezer refrigerator. The reason I chose this was mainly, because of the appearance. It has four doors, so I can organize my food in the way that I would like. The freezer is at the bottom, so I can save energy and money on it. It's also affordable and not majorly expensive like some of the other models. It is also big and can store a decent amount of food and not run short on space. The temperature performance is also excellent. The pace model helped me decide which refrigerator, because I was able to write down my favorite refrigerators and it made it easy for me to choose one from my graph.

  3. I would buy the LG French-Door Bottom Freezer, because of its very low cost for how great its rating is. I knew right away that that was the one I was going to choose because it was the one that made the most sense to me. The pace model helped me by proving that it was far better, with its amazing energy use and its overall performance.

  4. I choose four type of fridge one is side by side fridge called Samsung and other three fridges are top freezer they are whirlpool, Kenmore, Haier. This four I choose from the list. This four of them I like most is Samsung because it is lower price than other three fridges. This fridge have very good noise system and fridge have lot of spaces inside the fridge. I found one more good thing about this fridge is water dispenser that is in the exterior of fridge that is the most I like about this fridge. I choose four of the fridge two have dispenser and two of them didn't have dispenser. In that two have water dispenser I compare that two fridges are Samsung and Whirlpool. then I compare that two the less price is whirlpool but one problem is Whirlpool didn't have enough space then I look Samsung price is little bit higher than Whirlpool but I found the best thing about Samsung is that have lot of space inside. I only look which one is the better one.

  5. In looking for a refriderator, I had four important criteria. The first was price. I didn't want to spend more than $1,500. The second was energy efficiency. I wanted it to be either excellent or very good. Since I am not tall, I wanted a smaller, shorter refrigerator. Finally, I wanted the ease of use to be excellent or very good. While not a primary criteria, I also was interested in either a side-by-side or top-freezer so that I could more easily reach the items in the refriderator. When I created a chart of the options, I compared the Samsung side-by-side, the Frididaire Gallery, the Whirlpool top-loader and the Maytag. While the Maytag was affordable (only $770) and it was smaller, the use was only "fair", so I eliminated this option. The Whirlpool was also smaller with an excellent energy rating. But the ease of use was only good and it was pricy. The Samson side-by-side was the most expensive and largest. I wanted something smaller. This left the Frigidaire as meeting most closely my criteria.

    1. I noticed that you wanted a fridge that was short, that was an interesting variable I didn't think about out. 3 of the fridges you listed were also fridges I compared. I also think price is a big criteria to meet for I don't see the need to spend so much money on just a refrigerator.

  6. The fridge I found was the LG french door bottom freezer [SW] because the four criteria I had was first the price because the price is the most important I think and it is 1,650. I wasn't going to go over 2000. Second was noise cause I don't want a really loud fridge and the LG was a excellent on that. Then the ease of use was good and thats good enough for me. Last was temp performance and it had a excellent rating and I felt like that would be a good fridge. Also the energy cost was the lowest.

  7. I had four criteria for picking out a fridge, one was total usable. The LG french door bottom freezer had 18 cubic feet, it was also excellent when it came to noise which was another important criteria for me. The last two criteria were energy efficiency and temperature performance, both were excellent. Also the price was pretty good considering it was only $1,650.

  8. I picked the whirlpool gold with the french door. What I liked about this is that it had the french door at the bottom. The cost isn't the highest of all the fridges, about average. The paced model helped me by figuring out how much noise it made, the annually cost of it and how easy it is to use it. They were all good or very good so that made my decision on this fridge easy.

  9. I decided to buy the Samsung Fr261bler model for $2,100. I like the model, the space and how it doesn't make noise. The actually reason I bought this refrigerator is because its a very economical in energy. It was the most economical one I saw. Also, its a very popular brand with great reviews.

    1. I got a Samsung too. I really like how it's not overly expensive and they're good for the environment too, its not "just a fridge". I think the Samsung was a great choice.

    2. I also got a samsung. I think it was a great choice and samsungs don't seem to be as expensive as the other refrigerators yet they have the same quality.

  10. I decided on the Kenmore 7160[3], which was priced at $1,700. My four criteria to picking a refrigerator were the cost, temperature performance, energy efficiency and energy cost/yr. The Kenmore 7160[3] was reviewed as excellent in those areas. My other three choices of refrigerators were also excellent in those sections but the Kenmore 7160[3] beat them on the energy cost/yr and would be needing fewer repairs.

  11. I chose the Frigidaire. The Frigidaire is priced at 770 right off the bat which caught my eye. The criteria I had listed down were price, temperature eff, energy eff and energy cost per year. This fridge has all the top criteria I want compared to any of the others. I used the PACED system to help decide by using it to help narrow down my options. The Frigidaire is a very cheap way to have what you need in a fridge.

    1. I also looked at this one but decided on a different model because the ease of use was not good enough for me.

  12. My choice was the Samsung RS265TD[WP] because in looking for a fridge, I saw right off the bat it was a "CR Best Buy" and to me that seemed like a good sign. Out of the 4 options I had originally chosen the Samsung was cheapest which also was a big deal to me. The Samsung is a side-by-side refrigerator with a 25.5(cu. ft) by 18.1(usable) amount of usable space. The Samsung I picked out ended up having the most space for the cheapest amount of money, which I really appreciated because I love to get more for my money. After looking at the the size, the price, the reviews on the different features and other peoples overall thoughts about the fridge I was choosing, I knew the Samsung RS265TD[WP] was the fridge for me. My new fridge rocks.

    1. That fridge was one I was comparing with the others. The "CR Best Buy" thing also caught my attention. In the end, the one I chose was also a "Best Buy".

  13. I chose the Samsung side by side refrigerator. I used the PACED model to determine the price, if it was a side by side freezer, the capacity, and noise. The samsung was the second cheapest at $1,300. The noise was rated excellent and it had the biggest capacity, also with a side by side freezer. All of the other side by side refrigerators were smaller and the noise was rated "good" rather than "excellent" like the samsung refrigerator I chose. They were also more expensive at $2,500-2,700 dollars. The PACED decision making grid lead me to the best choice based on my criteria.

  14. My choice was the Kennmore Elite (B1). My criteria was noise energy efficiency temperature performance and price. I love gardening so temperature performance is key since majority of the food I eat is fresh produce. Along with that I'm super big on saving as much energy as I can. Yes you could say I'm a tree huger but the earth is important to me. Noise was mainly a criteria because my grandma used to have the loudest fridge and it gave me the worst headaches. The kennmore rated excellent for all my criteria and was also the cheapest only 1,510.

    2. Nice fridge there. Noise was a huge thing for me as well. I've never been around ones that gave me headaches from it being so loud but I'm sure they're no fun!

  15. For my fridge I chose to do the LG(c) fridge because I thought it was the best bang for my buck. Initially I wanted to get the most expensive one but then I realized its just a fridge. No way i'm tossing over 8 grand at a fridge. PACED helped me make my decision because I was able to process and eliminate between the 4 fridges. I was able to pin it down to cost, sound, temperature, noise. Out of the 4 I was looking at the LG had the most success in all categories by far. But the biggest reason I chose LG was because of the price! It was pretty fair and lined up with all the qualities I was looking for! My second my best choice would've been the Kenmore Elite 7103(2) but the price was significantly higher and the size was a little bit smaller. Overall PACED helped me a lot more than I thought it would, so thank you Chris. I am now a master at picking out fridges. #yolo

  16. I chose the first item on the list. It was of the Fridgaire brand. I chose this fridge because it was the lowest cost on the list but still was rated excellent in energy efficency and temperature control. Usable space doesn't really matter to me because I dont plan on living with anybody and wont have to share the fridge space with anybody else.

  17. i picked Sumsung rs265td, For couple reasons. The main is if i use the Paced method, the problem is i don't have much Money and as such this only $200 and secondly this fridge has an Excelent Noise preventer. so i really despite the ones that make a lot a noise. My other altenative would have Jenn-Air but 8k is a joke for a frige. Lastly as such i made my decision mostly influence by my limited Income.

  18. I picked the Thermador KBUDT4265E. I used the PACED chart to make my decisions. I knew what my criteria was before i looked at the PACED chart, but it help choose my model. I want a good expensive fridge, that will keep my food cold, not keep me awake at night, and is easy enough for me to use(because fridges can get to be pretty tough to use.) Having a built in fridge sounds nice so it was cool that the built in's were the most expensive. The Thermador was $8,750, so the price was good. The PACED chart said it did okay in all of the other catagories, so I think it's a good deal.
