  1. If I want to increase the motivation first I hard work as much as I can reach my goal. my plan to invest my human capital is now because this the time I can learn everything I want when you get older and older you didn't fell like to study a new skill or study something else now is the opportunity to invest human capital. When you go to any job they first want you to have a good motivation and learned skill. if I were participating in tampabaytime I would offer how to be a good nurse? Now days I learned so many things to became nurse when I went to volunteer work in hospital I learned new skills.

    2. I think it was very nice of you too have volunteered some of your time to help out a hospital.

  2. What motivates me to increase my human capital would be hard work, time. I need to work on my time management. if I waste less time now my human capital will increase over time while putting in hard work into things that are more important for my goals. I plan to invest in my social aspect and grow with the people around me and meet new people and try new things! It will be good for me. If i was participating in Tampabaytime.org my human capital skill would Hockey training. I would offer different drills and practice for shooting, skating and hitting. I would teach people different techniques and tricks to each category.

    2. I too need to work on my social aspect. Teaching hockey would be a really cool thing to offer.

    3. I have a major issue with wasting time, I do it far too much, i never really saw you as someone who really needed to invest in their social aspect though.

      Delete
    4. I also have problems with waisting time.

      Delete
    5. I could also use some help on how to use my time better!

      Delete
    6. If I was part of Tampa Bay Times I would also probably offer something that involves skating! Except probably just basic skills and learning how to skate.

    7. working with hockey would be a very good way to help people channel themselves into something productive because its physically demanding and full of discipline.

  3. What motivates me to increase my human capital would be to not be as lazy and work harder. I need to find more to do because I don't want to waste my time and if i start my human capital will increase over time. I will try to invest my social aspects so i can be better at talking and meeting new people. I have always been afraid to talk to new people I don't know why but I need to change that. If I participated in Tampabaytime.org I would put down mechanic. I love cars and working on them ive done it for so long. Since i was a kid.

    1. I am the same way when it comes to wasting my time. If I don't have something to do, I don't do anything. I wish I was more busy sometimes.

      Delete
    2. I agree. I think I have too much time on my hands at times and not enough motivation to using it to do things that could benefit my human capitol.

      Delete
    3. I can be the same way at times. I agree with the others, the more free time I have the less motivated I am.

      Delete
    4. I agree with you always we must be hard worker and don't waste time that way we can achieve our goals

      Delete
    5. I feel like many people are on the same boat as you with being lazy, including myself. It's not that I don't work hard, I just find it hard to get out of bed sometimes.

  4. What motivates me to increase my human capital is probably self-motivation, of the three types she listed this one fit me the best. The aspect that I want to invest in would be the social aspect of my life. I need to work on the way that I communicate with other people, especially on the professional level. To be able to hone those skill and improve on the professional relationship I make. One of the main reasons I want to invest in this is because, now a days, all I hear about is that: "Its not what you know, it's who you know". Now, if i was involved in Tampabaytime.org I would offer my human capital skill in roofing. I have worked as a roofer for the past couple summers and could use that skill to help out on smaller project. I wouldn't be able to do an entire house by myself but I can do smaller areas and help teach others the basics.

    1. thats something people might always need help with.

    2. I also need to work on my communication with professionals, I hate talking on the phone to people, so I definitely need to work on my communicating skills as well.

  5. What motivates me to increase my human capital is hard work, time. Managing my time is something I could work better on. If I learn how to spend my time more wisely over time it could help lead to a gain in my human capital. I plan on investing in personal aspects and growth in myself. If I focus on taking better care of myself it will hopefully give me a new way to look at things. If I was apart of Tampabaytime.org my human capital skill would be Dance instructor. I would teach people how to break dance, do jazz, modern, contemporary, hip hop, ballet, and even ballroom dance. I would even teach technique.

    1. I like the idea of investing in yourself, did you mean like in health or did you mean knowledge? Also I think its awesome that you dance, I'm so uncoordinated its very hard for me personally to learn something like that.

    2. I also need to learn how to spend my time more wisely.

  6. What motivates me to increase my human capital would be my social aspects. Generally i can make new friends and talk to new people very easily. I will try to invest in my ability to work harder. I'm a major procrastinator so that is certainly a skill i need to work on. If i were to offer a skill on Tampabaytime.org i would probably register either soccer, Nordic skiing, or playing magic the Gathering. id also be okay with putting most sorts of manual labor like mowing, digging, or anything else i can learn quickly.

    1. Nice. I think that soccer would be a good way to reach your goals in increasing your human capitol. I play soccer and I agree with you 100%

    2. Social skills are very important in the work force. It will get you more ahead.

      Delete
    3. I'm also a big procrastinator so I agree with you that its a good skill to try and work on.

      Delete
    4. Trenton I think you have good social skills as you talked to me when I am very shy sometimes!

  7. What motivates me to increase my human capitol would be hard work. By using my time and working hard my human capitol will raise over time. I will invest into my social aspects and gain human capitol with the help from others as well. By meeting new people I will open doors to new ways to work hard and increase my human capitol. If I could offer sometthing in tampabaytime.org it would be volunteer work. By volunteering I will meet new people who also like to work hard and they will help me find new options that will help increase my human capitol.

  8. My desire to increase my human capital is motivated by obtaining a better quality of life, and by having more freedom to do what I want to do in life.

I plan on investing time and money into schooling to increase my human capital, and if that doesnt work out I can fallback on my knowledge of pools and spas and see where that takes me.

If I were to offer a skill to tampabay.org right now I would offer my skill to repair pools/spas.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. that would be good to use your work skills like repairing pools and spas since thats what you already do and have the needed experience

  9. What motivates me to increase my human capital is to do what I'm passionate about. When I'm passionate and have a desire to want to do something, that is when I get self motivated. If I do something I enjoy doing, it's easier to make human capital.

I want to invest my time in training in a skill that I'm interested in. My plan after high school is to go to Trade School.

If I helped offer a skill to tampabay.org I would probably be a teacher assistant. I taught at a day care for about a year.

    1. Ya I like your points it is a good thing something we like to do. If something we didn't like to do then it will have no happy in our life

      Delete
    2. I think that's so true you definitely need to be passionate about something if you really want it.

  10. The one that motivates me to increase my human capital is self-motivation. When I say that I will do something I will get it done. Rather its mowing the lawn or going out for a run. The thing I need to work on is how to manage my time. If I have nothing to do, I do nothing and its a waste of time. For my investment I would do it in the social aspect, that way I could meet new people and that could possibly open new doors for me. If I was participating in the Tampabaytime.org website I would offer translating since I'm fluent in both Spanish and English.

    1. I think self-motivation is a great skill to have. I also agree that working on wasting time is important to me too. That's cool I didn't know you were fluent in spanish.

    2. I was saying earlier that I think that self-motivation is a big thing. I'm curious as to what it's like being fluent in both languages though. I would really like to talk you sometime about it.

  12. What motives me to increase my human capital would be working hard. By working hard my human capital will increase. I would like to invest more time in communication with others. I think that if Improve my speech it will benefit me in the long run. If I were to offer a skill in the Tampabaytime.org wed site I would offer help with skills on restaurants because I've been working with restaurants for over 7 years now.

  13. What motivates me in increase my human capital is self motivation. If I am not motivated to do something then it will not get done. On the other hand when I want something I will make sure to get it. I would like to invest more time in myself, making sure I get the right amount of sleep, eat healthy and exercise. If I have those needs met I feel as though I will have more energy which will lead me to be able to focus in class and get more things done. If I were to offer a skill to Tampabaytime.org I would offer to babysit their pets or children because I love children and animals and I am also very good with them.

  14. To personally increase my human capital is working harder to improve who I am as a person. By working to improve myself personally, I think it will make me into an all around better person because I can use my skills to get things done more effectively and in a better manner. If I were a member of the TampaBayTimes, I'd try to offer my love for music as a way to help reach out to people who need something in their life that helps them find a deeper sense of themselves.

  15. What motivates me to increase my human capital is self motivation. If I want it I will go out and get it, but I need something to motivate me or I wont get it done. If I were to invest in something for me it would probably be my social skills because I'm not very good at making friends so I would try to meet people and hang out and not be so shy. If I were a member of Tampabaytime I would offer my labor. I can use a snow blower and I can use a lawnmower. I would also offer up like pet grooming because I know how to clean pets and I like animals.

  16. What motivates me is to increase my human capital i believe is reaching my full potential, you may call that self motivation. but still not undermining the other two i really believe i have them in back of my head. If i were to invest i would have probably invested on getting higher knowledge, and then Doing and Teaching...that would be for me Dentistry. lastly if i were a Tampabaytime i would offer my arabic teaching skill, becuase i realize how crucial of a language it is.

  17. What motivates me to change my human capital is myself. A lot of my friends and life experience are also a main motivation. I see where the choices they are making are taking them and I don't want to go down that path. So I have three jobs, focusing on graduating early and starting my own life. I have been working on myself a lot. Today was a big day for me because I have beaten my mental disease and change the way I viewed life. It took a whole year and I'm still not where I want to be but I've never been so proud of myself. Changing my outlook on life and the choices I was making was the best decision I made. If I wanted to change more I will still have to focus on myself not everyone else. I got a retail job because talking to new people is out of my comfort zone. So far I love it but still working on minor areas to improve myself.

    2. I alike the idea of yourself motivating yourself. I feel like that might have been a problem in the past. i haven't had enough self motivation

  18. what motivates me to to change my human capital is everyone else. I have let a lot of people down before, and I feel bad for the people who are close to me. For everyone who thinks less of me, I want to prove them wrong. I am going to invest in my own knowlage. I want to be a translator, so I am going to need to pt in alot of time an money to get there.
